Patient support/Charities

Allergy UK

We are the leading national patient charity for people living with all types of allergy. For 30 years, our focus has always been about supporting everyone in the allergic community.

In 1991 the British Allergy Foundation, that later became Allergy UK was founded by a group of leading allergists, from Bart’s University who saw the need for a patient organisation dedicated to allergy – a chronic health condition that was affecting more and more lives in the UK.

We are committed to actively campaigning to raise awareness and catalysing long term change for people living with allergies.

Anaphylaxis UK

We are Anaphylaxis UK (formerly Anaphylaxis Campaign prior to July 2022). We’ve been supporting people living with serious allergies as a charity for over 25 years, offering evidence-based information for individuals and their families, for businesses and for schools and other places of education.

Most of what we offer is without charge and we rely on the generosity of our supporters to carry out our work.

Natasha Allergy Research Foundation (NARF)

Our vision is to make allergy history. We want to prevent and eradicate allergic disease, starting with food allergy, creating a world that is safe for all individuals.

Our mission is to bring about positive change by focusing on medical research, law and policies, educating and raising allergy awareness. We want to ensure the needs of people living with allergy are met in a meaningful way and to offer a real hope that will change the lives of all those living with this life-threatening disease.

Our priority: We will fund and utilise the best scientific minds to spearhead specific research to identify the causes of allergy and how it can be prevented and eradicated.

Our promise: We will do everything in our power to give a voice to the rising tide of younger and older people living with allergic disease; for everyone living with allergy to be understood and taken seriously by all of society and to campaign for change where change is needed. To do so now is more vital than ever before.

Our research: Funding research projects with a view to end allergic disease is primary focus of Natasha’s Foundation. All research breakthroughs will be published and pioneering research project results shared so that everyone can benefit. With your support, we can fund more breakthrough research and finally halt the growing allergic epidemic we are living in.

British Society for Allergy and Clinical Immunology (BSACI)

The BSACI is the national, professional and academic society which represents the specialty of allergy at all levels. Its aim is to improve the management of allergies and related diseases of the immune system in the United Kingdom, through education, training and research.

The BSACI began life as a small interest group for allergists but we have grown to become a major force in medicine in the UK with over 800 members working across many medical specialities including allergy, immunology and paediatrics, ENT, dermatology and respiratory medicine.

BSACI’s comprehensive list of UK Allergy services which are provided by BSACI members, is available to access on the public area of the BSACI website.
